Water structure at the multilayers of palladium deposited at nanostructured Au electrodes

In situ ATR-SEIRAS experiments were carried out to describe water structure at the surface of multilayers Pd modified nanopatterned gold film electrodes in contact with aqueous 0.1 M HClO4 solution. The results show that becomes more ordered when thickness increases. “ice-like water” band stronger and for electrode 5 ML [email protected], ratio “liquid-like larger than bulk water. Concomitantly, population “monomers” or small clusters diminishes. All bands increase hydrogen adsorption takes place. bending corresponding “multimers” is observed chiefly potentials adsorption.
